EXPERIMENTS IN XR
PIECES OF MY PSYCHE: A VR EXPERIENCE
My first ever VR creation: A view directly from the head-mounted display of a VR experience that brings the user on an abstract journey into a piece of the creator's child, teen, and adult perspective — through the respective setting, objects, video, placement of the video, and music for each environment.
Created in Unity, and built for the Oculus Rift
GOING FOR VOLUME
Experiment with full 3D, volumetric video capture using Depthkit.
This was my first step in my goal to bring live-action shot, 3D + moving characters into XR, where viewers can walk around them in 360 degrees, and it appears they are actually there in front of them. This can be monumental in bringing a true extended reality where the physical and digital are one.
THE ART WALL
The concept for my first-ever AR project was born out of the feeling when looking at an empty space on the wall, and thinking…how great would it be to easily add something there?
Daydreaming that further, if someone shares a home with a partner or roommates, it would be incredibly fun to see the unique touch each person has by individually being able to fill that shared, empty space - so my goal was to take an empty frame and be able to provide the ability to “fill” the physical frame digitally through augmented reality.
Created in Vuforia within Unity, and built for the iPhone
VIRTUALLY THERE: THE PEAK OF MACHU PICCHU
For my first-ever, live-action shot 360/VR film, I wanted to bring people into a world that is rare and precious to experience…and for it to feel like they are there, regardless of where they physically are on the planet.
So welcome to the serene majesty of the peak of Machu Picchu.
